This is a flashback episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk for the week of March 18, 2015 (due to it just being another VERY hectic week with events and more for the radio show; originally broadcast on the week of December 10, 2008) with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

That week's commentary focused on the finale of the 2nd OJ Simpson trial and why the Black American community could more or less not care about his sentencing due to being arrogant and non-thinking, how Black American athletes were not having a good week (Plaxico Burress, etc.), the passing of Hip-Hop MC and D.I.T.C. member Party Arty and some other things.

We also had an interview this week on the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with documentary director Kevin Booth of "American Drug War: The Last White Hope" (http://www.AmericanDrugWar.com).

Some topics covered in our talk include some of the history of the Drug War in America, some of the unfairness that's in the legal system for those who do illegal drugs (long prison terms, little rehabiltation programs for those who need them, racial and economic disparities with those arrested, etc.), what made some drugs illegal and some not in the eyes of the government, the ways the documentary was completed both on the record and undercover ways and some other interesting things.

We do not have new Direct EFX and Black Agenda Report news segments on this week's broadcast due to our interview.

Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast over at our official blog, BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly.

This is a flashback episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk for the week of March 11, 2015 (due to it just being a very hectic week event wise for the radio show; originally broadcast on the week of August 5, 2009) with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our commentary for that week focused on some updates on the Prof. Henry "Skip" Gates arrest & post-situation (including the mainstream media named "Beer Summit"), the unfortunate passing and impact of Hip-Hop MC Baatin of Slum Village & the 1st Black Supermodel Naomi Sims and some other things here and there.

There was no Black Agenda Report or Direct EFX segments during that week.

This is the latest & BRAND NEW episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk for the weeks of February 25 & March 4, 2015 with some new and classic music from the international Black Diaspora, news and commentary.

This week's radio show breakdown (by minutes/hours):
0:00 - 1:32:27 Introduction & Extended Commentary
1:32:27 - 2:15:05 DJ Fusion Mix
2:15:05 - 3:13:37 Ausar Ra Black Hawk Mix

Our extended commentary this week during the show (it takes up about the 1st hour and a half of the radio show) after being back from some illness from the past 2 weeks touched base on the crazy winter weather in the U.S., net neutrality finally passing via the FCC in the United States (for now), the FOX soap opera "Empire" becoming a huge thing in current popular culture and our feelings on how the TV series has developed & Black broadcast TV at large, the passing of actor Leonard Nimoy & basketball player Anthony Mason, actress Monique talking about being blackballed in Hollywood & issues with director Lee Daniels, various Grammys & Oscar Award controversies from this year (with Kanye West's "Artist of the Year" complaint, Beyonce singing the lead song from the movie "Selma" instead of the original artist Ledisi, Patricia Arquette's terribly misguided backstage statements, etc.) and some other things here and there.

There is no new new Black Agenda Report segment on this week's show due to our extended commentary.

Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast over at our official blog, BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly.

Music festival season is going to be in full effect soon, starting off here in the States for most usually with South by Southwest (SXSW) in March and rolling steadily with all sorts of events throughout the fall.

The latest music festival announcement that has just come through our way as of late is via the folks of the Soundset Festival in Shakopee, MN.

Antony & Cleopatra

Justin Faust

Great House Music consists of more than just a steady "four on the floor" beat, some samples, random vocals and/or the popular production software of the day - it needs to have some SOUL and fun in the mix.

These latest releases from Vitalic Noise's London-based duo Anthony & Cleoptra and Nurvous Records' Justin Faust (cranking out tunes via Munich) have the catchy hooks, production, lively vocals that aren't autotuned to robotic numbness and pure fun that is sometimes missing in what sometimes feels like the cut-and-paste arena modern day dance music.

While their various tunes definitely show the influence of Disco, Electro and Pop music's pasts, none of these songs feel dated in any way and are ready set for everyone to fall into some enjoyable grooves.

The FuseBox Radio Broadcast/BlackRadioIsBack.com family has been a part of Canada's North by Northeast (NXNE) for the past few years on the performance and press coverage ends and we have always had a great time checking out their music, film, comedy, interactive and art programming.

The diverse Canadian festival (based in Toronto, ON) can basically be thought of by folks in the U.S. as the up-North version of South by Southwest (SXSW) in terms of the high quality and eclecticness of acts.

Going down this year from June 17 - 21, 2015, the programming on the music end is already in full swing with an diverse and dope set of international independent and major label talent in the Hip-Hop, Rock, EDM and Pop genres, including acts like Action Bronson, Ibeyi, Vince Staples, Blonde Redhead and plenty more.

With at least 2 - 3 more rounds of act announcements coming down the pipeline in the upcoming months, it's shaping up to be a pretty fly event so far.

Check out some of our NXNE 2012, 2013 & 2014 photo, video & written coverage here on the BlackRadioIsBack.com website and hit up North by Northeast at their official websites below for more updates on updated music acts, programming, ticket prices (which are literally some of the best I've personally ever seen for a multi-day festival) and more:

In the meantime, check out some tunes from the current lineup of NXNE 2015 Music headling artists via Spotify here:
