Jazz legend Herbie Hancock as a new album out now based on the music of Joni Mitchell, "River: The Joni Letters" (Verve Records).
The music on this album is all pretty mellow stuff - definitely some cool out vibe going on here - read a book, sip some wine, cuddle up next to someone with this sort of music.
There is no stereotypical "smooth jazz" category of boring one straight to sleep, but then again, I think after how many years, Herbie definitely knows what he's doing.
