My cool as hell OHN Staff Pic as done by Slaus Caldwell - DJ Fusion

Good Sunday Afternoon from DJ Fusion BlackRadioIsBack.com & FuseBox Radio Broadcast family!

One of the great things folks been doing for the past few years is being a part of the awesome OHN (O Hell Nawl!) music writing staff and dropping reviews on various mainstream and independent Hip-Hop & Soul Music albums.

Just wanted to catch up on the latest album reviews I've written/guest album review podcasts I've been on as of late with awesome OHN (O Hell Nawl!) music writing staff and some review podcasts in conjunction with our fam over at Where's My 40 Acres - visit their sites, read up/listen, comment, support and enjoy!

Once upon a time, after the big rush of the various spring & summertime national and international music festivals, the fall season used to be kind of dry in regards to having big events to check out diverse groups of musicians doing their thing at one grand showcase.

When factoring in affordability for the average person who did not want to be in serious debt before the holidays, that number of events narrowed down to damn near next to nothing.

Then Rock The Bells occurred.

Ten (!) years ago, the folks at Guerrilla Union set up a multi-day festival to represent old & new school Hip-Hop from all over the globe, grabbing up both veteran and up & coming MCs, DJs & more to do their thing on stage.

The Ten Year Anniversary shows for Rock The Bells are jumping off in grand style, having stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.

There's a pretty sweet mix of talented Hip-Hop folk representing at the D.C. Rock The Bells 2 day stop, from rap's Golden Age (Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Slick Rick, Rakim & Doug E. Fresh & more), the mid-to-late 1990s/early 2000s indie and major label Rap Renaissance representers (Wu-Tang Clan, E-40 & Too Short, Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique, Freeway, Sean Price, Dilated Peoples, Supernatural, etc.) and the 2000s "From the Streets To The Internets To The Stage" era of rap (A$AP Mob, Black Hippy, Hopsin, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Rapsody & 9th Wonder, etc.).

With damn near over 25 acts per day performing at RFK Stadium on September 28th & 29th, the price for Rock The Bells tickets is a pretty sweet bargain.

Check out some past & recent footage of Rock The Bells to see what goes down at each concert...hope to see some of y'all there! - DJ Fusion/FuseBox Radio Broadcast

   photo ScreenShot2013-05-07at124230PM.png

Our extended commentary for this week's show (due to our being wrapped up in the D.C. Green Festival preparations & going to A3C Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta, GA the following week) focused on the 50th anniversary of the Birmingham Church Bombing, latest updates on the Colorado Floods & the Navy Yard Shooting, Clear Channel & Warner Music uniting on a weird business deal, songwriter/singer Victor Willis' victory over the record labels for the copyright of "YMCA", our viewpoint of the saga of Hot 97 Radio Personality/DJ/Hip-Hop legend Mister Cee getting caught yet again with a transsexual prostitute & what - if anything - it means for Hip-Hop community (especially regarding frank, mature talk about sexuality, employment & more) and some other bits of news here and there.

There there is no a brand new Black Agenda Report news mini-segment on this week's episode due to the length of our commentary.

This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the weeks of August 28 & Sept. 4, 2013 with some new and classic music from the international Black Diaspora, news and commentary.

   photo Miley-Cyrus-performance-at-MTV-VMA-2013-2223057.jpg photo 2a9y6ib.jpg

Our commentary for this post-Labor Day vacation weekend's show focused on our viewpoint of the possible upcoming U.S. involvement in Syria's civil war, leaks about the AT&T & the DEA's "Hemisphere Project" where over 26 years of phone records of various Americans were taken with pretty much little legal reason, this year's MTV Video Music Awards (including Miley Cyrus' marketing offensive with "twerking" during her performance & the legendary 'Power of the Black Cosign' with the mainstream entertainment industry), another case with a songwriter suing Motown Records and some other bits of news here and there.

There there is a brand new Black Agenda Report news mini-segment on this week's episode.
