Today's shaping up to be another nice day of mixtape treats and goodies for the BlackRadioIsBack.com download squad...

We've covered the collabo Black Music supergroup of Idle Warship (consisting of Hip-Hop MC Talib Kweli, Black Rocker/Singer Res and MC/Singer Graph Nobel) before here on the 'site and it's a nice surprise that they've decided to drop this full mixtape of new Soul/Dance/Rock Music joints and remixes in conjunction with Mick Boogie.

Here's a description of the project directly from the group:

Idle Warship welcomes you to our first full length offering, "Party Robot". This started out as a path to musical freedom. When we established Idle Warship, we did it for us.

Now that we are giving you this music, Idle Warship no longer belongs to us, it belongs to the world. We don’t believe in labels for music. Labels make stop you from hearing something before you listen to it.

We appreciate those who have taken this journey with us without judgment and enjoyed the ride.

To everyone who purchased our music on iTunes and anyone who has bought a ticket to an Idle Warship show, this is for you. All my party robots stand up!

We have the Party Robot Mixtape ready for you all to download, listen to and groove to - when you get the chance, let us know how you feel about the latest Idle Warship music project!

I have to give a BIG shout out to Tunji over at Year of the Blacksmith for hitting us up with this video of Hip-Hop MCs Talib Kweli and Mos Def performing some classic Black Star album tracks live ("Definition" and "Respiration") at LA's House of Blues on Grammy Night 2009.

Happy Thursday folks of BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio Broadcast! :)

Wanted to share this new music from what's looking to be the new Black Music Supergroup consisting of Hip-Hop MC Talib Kweli, Black Rocker/Singer Res and MC/Singer Graph Nobel called Idle Warship.

The track we have available for download below, "Steady", is a pretty fly indication of the potential these folks have to give the music landscape a nice kick in the pants to get a bit more creative with the grooves and such.

Going on the official website, there definitely seems to be a wilin' out soul/dance/rock music vibe going on with the crew. They're supposed to be doing a lot of touring and dropping music in '09, so I'm defniitely hoping for the best.

Check out the video below and the music - what do y'all think of the Idle Warship movement?

Shout out to my peoples Tunji Balogun for the heads up about this project!

What's good family,

Here is the latest video and single from Talib Kweli's 2007 Eardrum album, "The Perfect Beat".

It's a pretty cool song and video and the album to me as a solo project was the best project that Talib has put out so far, especially with the live performance footage.

What do y'all think?

What's good folks,

Just wanted to share a video of some dope live Hip-Hop performance we were hit with (shouts to Tunji of Inverse for the good looks) of old and new school NYC Hip-Hop MCs Talib Kweli, Pete Rock and Buckshot of Duckdown Records/Bootcamp Click over at the American Museum of Natural History a few weeks ago.

Give it a look and listen - enjoy!

VIMBY - One Step Beyond: Talib Kweli

Here is the latest music video from Hip-Hop MC Talib Kweli's Eardrum LP, "Hostile Gospel, Part 1 ((Deliver Us)", that's out now...

This is definitely the best major label solo album that Talib has made, personally due to both getting a lot more solid beats across the board and being a bit more diverse w/ the rhyme styles and subject throughout (because let's face it, sometimes multi-syllabic Hip-Hop MCs if they don't turn on the personality and flair can be boring as all hell, much less if the production and hooks aren't on point).

Note: I'm not counting the DJ Hi-Tek and Talib Kweli album, Reflection Eternal/Train of Thought or the Mos Def/Talib Kweli Black Star LP, since they were straight up collaborative efforts and later 1990s-era indie Hip-Hop classics through the 1st version of the Rawkus label.

What do y'all think?
