This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of May 27, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

This week's commentary focused on how the mainstream & independent media has covered the accidental and tragic passing of former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson's daughter this week, the recent news story of 29 Year Old Man with 21 Kids (ridiculous) and some other things here and there.

The syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast was honored to have a great interview with one of the MCs in the legendary Hip-Hop crew, The Fat Boys (http://www.originalfatboys.com), Kool Rock Ski (http://www.koolrockski.com).

During the interview, we covered everything from Kool Rock Ski's beginning history with Hip-Hop & the founding of the Fat Boys, the evolution of how the music industry has treated Hip-Hop, especially when it started getting popular (and folks reaching for pop music status) & how it affected The Fat Boy's career, the passing of Buffy the Human Beat Box, Kool Rock Ski's triumph with weight issues, The Fat Boy's upcoming music & community projects and a lot more!

Due to the length of this week's interview, we do not have new Black Agenda Report or Direct EFX segments this week.

Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast here on BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly.

Vincent Tucker Radio Show Description (58th installment):

Back like we never left, CWC Entertainment Group, L.L.C. proudly presents the 58th episode of The Vincent Tucker Radio Show. This week’s sponsors once again include Poor Man’s Music, CityStream Live & the 2nd Annual Dallas Greek Picnic Weekend coming June 4th thru June 7th.

It happened two weeks ago and because of the great feedback, we’re throwing out the format once again.

We’re avoiding the rundown of our usual features and strictly ad-libbing today. Somewhere Young Jezzy would be proud!

For the second consecutive week, Mr. Tucker’s former Metro Muzik: The Union alum Lucky is this week’s guest host.

Speaking of the host, after nearly missing the whole show last go round; Vincent “Young Heartbreak” Tucker is back in full effect. You’ll want to rock with your favorite radio crew on this one!

Hey there to our BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio Broadcast crew!

Now, everyone and their Mama has been getting on my case about this Canadian MC Drake, especially with his recent co-signage by mainstream MC of the moment Lil' Wayne & his Young Money imprint and the 9,999,999 spins of "Best I Ever Had" (which makes me want to stab a rusty spork in my ear due to the overload).

Quite frankly, I haven't gotten sold on the brother being nice on the mic (blame it on the PR & payola, sorry) until hearing from a good amount of my peoples that he can maintain a dope live show - which I still need to check for myself - as well as giving some in depth listens to some of his recent mixtapes, including the dope one we have below from our fam at TreyPeezy.com that shows he can actually maintain a pretty decent live show that doesn't shame Black Music and is sans autotune, 1,000 weed carriers on the stage, etc.

While I'm not sold on Drake's singing like that (just no), the bro can spit some pretty decent bars to the point where I'm actually curious to see where his career goes...

Anyway, check the TreyPeezy.com Presents - Drake "aLive" Mixtape 2009 and decide for yourselves where Drake should stand in the Hip-Hop realm...let folks know what you think!

Apparently, today is "Wonder Wallet Wednesday" here at BlackRadioIsBack.com since we've just been hit with some more free quality Black Music to keep your money lasting just a little while longer (or to be used for something else hopefully of worth).

Classic Era Hip-Hop West Coast MC Del the Funky Homosapien (co-founder & member of the Hieroglyphics Imperium collective and record label; also on a random factoid, he's Ice Cube's cousin) has decided to drop a free album for his fans independently via Funnyman Entertainment called Funk Man: The Stimulus Package.

Being involved with Hip-Hop for just about 2 decades now (with this new album being his 14th project since 1991's I Wish My Brother George Was Here), the brother definitely has his skills down on the mic as well as behind the boards with the production (with the exception of one track this entire album was produced by Del).

Some folks may think Del's flow and subject matter can sometimes be a bit on the weirdo side (the Deltron 3030 LP anyone?), but give this project a chance - there are some bangers on here.

Give the project a download below (and check out one of the singles, "Get It Right Now" as well) and hopefully, you'll dig some of this cool independent music vibe as well!

My personal favorite tracks from the Funk Man: The Stimulus Package LP are "Straight From the Big Bad West Coast" and "And They Thought That Was Hell" - what are yours?

Happy Hump Day to our BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio Broadcast crew - hope the week's been going smoothly so far! :)

While a whole lot of Hip-Hop albums have dropped mainstream wise this week (most of which are good to pretty fly w/ a bit of overhype), I always like the concept of music that dops which is quality and free in this 21st century age.

** Especially with the recession - I don't know about y'all, but I'm not paying $14.99 at Best Buy, the Mom & Pop joint or iTunes for a glorified coaster or unnecessary data on my hard drive. **

Through our peoples over at Acrylick Clothing (pretty cool gear, by the way), I ran into this West Coast Hip-Hop EP from MC Bascali called the "I Choose You EP", which has some pretty on point lyrics, rhymes and positive & fun vibes that aren't preachy or cheesy (with some kocnking beats as well).

Check out the "I Choose You EP" download below along with a video or 2 of Bascali in action and let us know what you think!

What's good BlackRadioIsBack.com & FuseBox Radio Broadcast crew!

Those who have been checking the radio show from the past few years have some familiarity with independent Hip-Hop MC Donny Goines, who has been working hard for a minute in putting out some solid Black Music for the masses to listen to.

Now, he seems to be all over the place with magazine reviews, website interviews, etc. and is steadily climbing up in recognition the business & culture, which is definitely a good move.

Good Tuesday Morning to our folks in BlackRadioIsBack.com land!

The Atlanta by way of the Virgin Islands brothers from R. City (beforehand known as Rock City) have been dropping mixtapes and collaborations left and right for the past few years as song writers and music artists for a minute even before signing with Akon's label Konlive Records.

With folks waiting for their full length album project, Wake the Neighbors, to drop later this year, here's another mixtape project showing R. City Members Theron (a/k/a Da Spokesman) and Timothy (a/k/a Don’t Talk Much) holding bay to their audience frustrations by dropping "Put the F'n Album Out...Sneak Peak Mixtape" to the masses to check out.

We like the mix these dudes have with blending Hip-Hop & Soul music in a way it doesn't sound trite and ordinary and have been on and off rocking their joints on the FuseBox Radio Broadcast - hopefully y'all will as well.

Give the "Put the F'n Album Out...Sneak Peak Mixtape" project a download and preview listen via the iMeem Player below then let us know what you think - enjoy! :)
