Here is the mp3 and video for the second track from Big Boi of Outkast's upcoming solo album dropping on LaFace/Zomba Records soon, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, called "Sumthin' Gotta Give" featuring Mary J. Blige.

This is a pretty tight video and song - what do y'all think?

What's good BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio family,

We got two new and fresh tracks for folks to download from the upcoming Hip-Hop release from the world famous DJ Wake Up Show with Sway & King Tech, producer and turntablist DJ Revolution, King Of The Decks, that will be dropping September 16, 2008 on Duck Down Records.

These new songs that have been leaked so far are pretty tight for my peoples who are feeling that Boom Bap style of Hip-Hop music.

Checking out the lineup of guest MCs and DJs on this (DJ Revolution pulled out the big guns of old and new school Hip-Hop MC cats from all coasts for this one) and from digging his previous projects (In 12's We Trust is my personal favorite), I really can't see this being nothing but a solid album that will actually be worth spending some cash on to support some quality music.

As a crew of DJs over here, myself and Jon Judah are LOVING this quote from DJ Revolution about the ties between the DJ and the MC in making quality Hip-Hop:

Since MC's in general decided to toss aside the DJ as an asset and integral part of their success from production to performance, the music has suffered tremendously. My goal is to re-introduce to the world what a DJ is.

He or She is not just a celebrity, or someone who plays records, or makes funny sounds with turntables. He or she is all of that and more.

I recruited some of the most legendary and also most talented up and coming artists to help me express all of this within the context of the musc.

The title of the album is by no means a way of saying I'm the best on the turntables. "King of the Decks" is obviously just a play on words related to a deck of cards. However, it is also a statement that needs to be remembered.

The DJ is King."

Check out the highlighted tracks, download, enjoy and let folks know what you think!

What's good BlackRadioisBack.com and FuseBox Radio family,

I wanted to share this great documentary with you called Welcome to New Orleans, which was done to cover what was going on in the city of New Orleans after the effects of Hurricane Katrina.

Welcome to New Orleans covers everything from the neglect of various governmental agencies to assist people and keep things under control to the underlying violence and racism that still exists today in the American South.

It also covers the work in the founding of the grassroots organization Common Ground Relief Foundation by former Black Panther Malik Rahim, which has served hundreds of thousands of residents since then.

Please give this full documentary a viewing when you get a chance (it's about an hour - props to who put this up and available via Google Video) and remember that this region and others (Mississippi, etc.) are still going through it today and need real assistance. Just because it's not shown on mainstream television doesn't mean that nothing is going on and everything is A O.K...

What's good everyone,

Hope that the weekend has gone well!

The BlackRadioIsBack.com and syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast family have to give some love back to the folks over at the Hip Hop Honeys website.

The nice folks from the crew over there (shouts to DRed), gave a shout and a nice writeup of the radio show called "FuseBox Radio The Streets Talking".

It always feels good to get a good look from our peoples all over the world.

When folks get the chance, definitely give the folks over at Hip Hop Honeys a look and some support (especially when the online magazine officially launches on August 1, 2008).

They have a cool mix of quality music & movie reviews, world news & events listings, interviews fashion news, gossip and eye candy for the fellas (and those in general who like looking at the ladies) - goodness for all on multiple levels, basically.

What's good everyone,

Hope things are well with you and yours! :)

It's been a bit crazy being on the grind through setting up things for the BlackRadioIsBack.com Mixtapes of the Week section, juggling some new mixtape projects (be on the lookout for the BlackRadioIsBack.com/FuseBox Radio Broadcast mixtape project with Flipmode Squad's and H.A.T.E. Klub's Reek Da Villian and U.R.B.Z. - dropping sooner then you think), running around with the FuseBox Radio Broadcast and just life in general.

While all of this is going on, I just wanted to hit folks in the head with a free download of one of the latest projects from the BlackRadioIsBack.com and the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast family from DJ Fusion to check out and enjoy...

The family here over at BlackRadioIsBack.com and the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast has been hearing about the new entries of the cable channel CNN's recent documentary series hosted by reporter Soledad O'Brien, CNN Presents: Black in America covering the "Black Woman & Family" and "The Black Man" being in the works for quite a while.

We've checked out the previous documentary of this series CNN Presents: Black in America documentary Eyewitness to Murder: The King Assassination about the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. his legacy, death and aftereffects and feel that all things considred, it was a pretty quality piece of work.

With the topics of the "Black Woman & Family" and "The Black Man", I really hope that CNN - while probably one of the better U.S. based mainstream media (MSM) news organizations of attempting to be balanced in their journalism - knows they are tackling a VERY huge, complicated and sensitive subject matter in the next two days with these documentaries and don't fall into the simple patterns of stereotyping or fitting the folks in an ideological box (positive or negative).

We know here in the United States that while there has been progress in regards to race and class relations of all peoples, there is a VERY long way to go on a lot of levels and that Black People in America (and People of Color in general) are still looked at as the either the exotic or depraved "other" in regards to humanity at large far too often.

One can only hope that some form of enlightenment comes forth from this documentary for those who watch it, that there are good intentions behind these new entries of this documentary series, and that growth will occur through the conversations that are sure to come out afterwards.

CNN Presents: Black in America episode on "Black Woman & Family" premieres on July 23, 2008 and the episode on "The Black Man" premieres on July 24, 2008. Both documentaries start at 9pm EST (Eastern Standard Time) each day.

From the website, here is a brief description about the "Black Woman & Family" episode:

CNN Presents: Black in America continues with "The Black Woman & Family." Soledad O'Brien explores the varied experiences of black women and families and investigates the disturbing statistics of single parenthood, racial disparities between students and the devastating toll of HIV/AIDS. O'Brien reports on the progress of black women in the workplace and the status of the black middle class.

And here is the brief description about "The Black Man" episode:

In the "The Black Man," Soledad O'Brien evaluates the state of black men in America and explores the controversial topics of black men and fatherhood; disparities between blacks and whites in educational, career and financial achievement; and factors leading to the dramatic rates of black male incarceration. The documentary also examines the achievements of black men and the importance of the positive influences of black fathers.

Durham, North Carolina Hip-Hop MC, Morehouse College gradate, radio personality and Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Practice at Duke University in the Department of Music (where he designed and teaches a course on Hip-Hop/Rap Music appreciation), J. Bully (formerly known as Jugga the Bully back in the late 1990s) has been grinding for a minute.

Through his history of being a part of high profile MC Battles (Blaze Magazine, former Source Magazine Atlanta MC Battle Champ, and a standout performer on BET's 106&Park Freestyle Friday in 2003), having a single that hit the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B Sales Charts in 2002 ("Ridiculous" b/w "Y'all Know" that was produced by Nitti, the creator of Boyz N Da Hood's hit single "Them Boyz"), a controversial single back in the late 1990s calling out New York City's DJ Clue ("F*** Clue") and his constant grind of releasing singles and mixtapes, J. Bully has been making himself heard loudly in the local North & South Carolina scenes and internationhally.

Now with The Mogul Group (which folks joined in in 2006), J.
