BlackRadioIsBack.com Favorite Ruby Dee Quotes:
OK, boss, I don't mind shuffling, but I won't scratch my head.
That's what being young is all about. You have the courage and the daring to think that you can make a difference. You're not prone to measure your energies in time. You're not likely to live by equations.
Every once in a blue moon, the Academy Award committee actually gets things right when nominating an actor and/or actress on their merits.
Granted, Ruby Dee has been in the business for a minute (over 50 years), is AWESOME in all of her acting roles (from movies to The Cosby Show) and should have been nominated a long time ago (A Raisin In The Sun, hello?!?), but we have to take what's given and hope for the best.
Congratulations for rocking it at 83 years old (!) Ms. Dee - I know her husband Mr. Ossie Davis is smiling somehwere in the afterlife. :)
