This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of November 24, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our commentary this week focused on the 3rd year anniversary of Sean Bell's death by the NYPD & the continuing conditions of police brutality & issues in the U.S., the British DNA Database that is accused of having the DNA of 75% of Young Black Males in the country & getting info via frivilous arrests, the 20th year anniversary of the classic Hip-Hop Group De La Soul and the Thanksgiving Holiday in the U.S. along with some other things here and there.

We had another great interview this week with the independent Hip-Hop group, Team N.A.N. (http://ElegantHoodness.ning.com & http://www.myspace.com/NotthingAssNiggaz), consisting of MCs A.D. the General & Gifted.

Some of the things we covered in the interview from the NYC based group were their backgrounds in the music industry, artistic influences, the entire concept behind the name and the business of N.A.N. and it's offshoots, the Elegant Hoodness & Media Fusion programs Team N.A.N. holds in the city for independent music artists to network, perform & build with each other, the importance of giving & gaining respect in the music industry & life in general, the activities N.A.N. does for the local and national community and a lot of other things!

There are new episodes of Black Agenda Report and Direct EFX segments this week.

Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast here on BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly.

Happy Thanksgiving here in the U.S. this 2009 (the day to be thankful for what you have, not that B.S. that gives props to the Pilgrims for being part of U.S. colonialism march which wiped out a lot of our Native American brother and sisters, set the stage for African Slavery and whatnot...f*** that) from the BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio Broadcast Family to all of the folks who have supported us and we are thankful to have in our corner:

* family (of course)

* all of our readers and listeners who have been supporting the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast since 1998 and beyond and/or starting to read this site from it's beginnings over 2 years ago

* all of the folks who continue to make great Black Music of all genres for us to give props to and enjoy

* our forefathers in both the Black Media and Independent Media spectrum from all over the world who encourage us in our mission

* fellow bloggers, DJs and radio shows who have helped us grow with great advice, articles, music and other good things

* those who have been gracious in extending great building on business and other good stuff with us

* "haters" (would like to think of a better term that's not so cliche and whatnot but can't right now, too early in the morning) either who keep us on our toes or are so corny, it's easy to avoid them that spur folks to be even more successful

* EVERYONE I can't think of at the present who are great supporters :)

Enjoy your weekend - I'm going to try and sleep before get ready to swipe a piece of Mama Fusion's Sweet Potato Pie and other cooked goodies (turkey, nan ham for me)...Peace!

Just a little something off the beaten path musically to share as of late for my BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio Broadcast crew...

Got this pretty dope free album project earlier in the week from Rockford, Illinois' Electronica/Dance/Rock Music & Production crew Hey Champ, who were formerly signed to Hip-Hop MC Lupe Fiasco's 1st & 15th record label around 2008 (which I heard has folded - true, false, anyone?).

Some folks may know the trio for their song & video for “Cold Dust Girl” and the same named EP that dropped earlier in the year as well as their opening for the tours of music acts like Lupe Fiasco, Justice, Sebastian Tellier, The Sounds, Midnight Juggernauts, Kid Sister, Datarock and more...

Hey Champ does have an official album dropping later on in 2010 independently (well for now, at least), but in the meantime in conjunction with dubFrequency, Imeem, Bandit Productions and Life or Death PR have dropped the free Winner's Circle Remix album for free so everyone can check out their style in the meantime.

Go to the player below to preview all of the tracks from Hey Champ's Winner's Circle free Remix album & cop the download...hope you all like everything! :)

Tracklisting:

1. Cool Kids x Hey Champ - (We Are) Champions *
2. Passion Pit - Little Secrets (Hey Champ RMX)
3. The S0unds - Beatbox (Hey Champ RMX) *
4. Hey Champ (Cold Dust Girl) (Only Children RMX) *
5. Database vs. French Horn Rebellion - Beaches & Friends (Hey Champ RMX)

Good Wednesday Morning BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio Broadcast Crew...

We are now 7 years past the very unfortunate, maddening and sad murder of legendary Hip-Hop DJ & producer Jason Mizell, aka Jam Master Jay, of Run DMC in his Queens, NY studio.

Jam Master Jay's murder has so far been another one of those unsolved Hip-Hop generation police cases here in the States where where no one's talked about what happened (whether witnesses on the scene or others), security tapes of the incident mysteriously disappear that could have clues, etc. for various reasons.

The upcoming DVD documentary 2 Turntables and a Microphone: The Life and Death of Jam Master Jay (dropping December 1, 2009 through Image Entertainment/One Village Entertainment) documents not just the investigation of the unsolved murder of Jam Master Jay, but has exclusive & candid interviews with people who's lives he affected through the years musically and otherwise such as 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Russell Simmons, RUN-DMC and many more.

The preview trailer definitely makes the documentary look interesting and something to check out in my opinion - give it a look and let us know what you think!

This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of November 17, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our commentary this week focused on the terrible situation with the death of 5 year old Shaniya Davis in North Carolina, Sammy Sosa's obvious issues with skin color (SMH at the bleaching scenario saying it was a "skin softening treatment" later on) and how that reflects on the ingrained "if you're Black, get back" physical mentality along with some other things here and there.

We had another great interview this week with author, businessman & activist Professor Devin Robinson (http://www.DevinRobinson.com) of Going Against The Grain Group (http://www.IAmGoingAgainstTheGrain.com), Taking it Black University (http://www.TakingItBackBlack.com) and The Black Hair Project.

We touched base on the current 1 week national U.S. boycott of non-Black owned Beauty Supply stores and how that ties into what Prof. Robinson calls a constant "economic hate crime" that occurs all over the United States to the Black Community in regards to the road blocks in establishing one's own businesses in comparison to other ethnic groups, the exchange of money within the community and other things here and there!

There are new episodes of Black Agenda Report and Direct EFX segments this week.
