Audio Interview with Will Calhoun of Living Colour + DC Area Ticket Giveaway for this Saturday!

Good Evening BlackRadioIsBack.com and FuseBox Radio Broadcast family! :)

It's been a while since doing some extra things on the blog in between us setting up a new overall homebase FuseBox Radio Broadcast website (http://FuseBoxRadioOnline.com), covering NY Comic Con (article and videos posted up here in the next day or so) and getting a new string of content lined up for over here & beyond.

It's been madness, but a good and positive bit of it...

One of the great things that have come from this madness have been lining up opportunities for giveaways and interviews for the radio show and the website.

We currently have 5 pairs of tickets to giveaway for the Saturday, October 23, 2010 show (starting at 7 pm) featuring Living Colour's Will Calhoun that is a part of the Music....On Stage event series by the National Geographical Society.

The event is going to be held at Grosvenor Auditorium (located at 1600 M Street, NW in Washington, DC) and start at 7:30 pm.

Just e-mail us at blackradioisback@gmail.com with the subject "Will Calhoun Ticket Giveaway" with your name or contact us via Twitter (@FuseBoxRadio) wit the same message (preferably via DM) and we'll do a random drawing of names this Friday, October 22, 2010 by 2 pm EST of the winners. Winners will be able to pick up their tickets at the door.

In the meantime, enjoy this great audio interview we had with Will Calhoun (info about what we touched base on topic wise is below), read up a bit on him with a basic biography from his website and peep with some great videos of him in action....good luck to all who enter!

During the great FuseBox Radio/BlackRadioIsBack.com interview this week with Mr. Calhoun, we talked about his background in the Bronx, his various musical influences, how labels have split up the music scene way too much (including the terms "Black Rock", "Black Music" etc.), his current and future music projects both on the solo tip & with Living Colour, some rather bugged out occurrences he had in the music industry, the importance of cultural ties in the creation of music and a lot of other cool things in a nice 45 minute time frame...check it out!
