Here are a few pictures taken of the performers and the crowd during the "Based Challenge" music showcase & competition presented by Cool Young World at Smith Public Trust in Washington, DC on Saturday, March 14, 2015 by DJ Fusion of the FuseBox Radio Broadcast with a Sony A58 camera and various lenses.

Here is a description of the event:

"Competitions are usually viewed in a competitive or adversarial manner; Game 7 NBA Finals, The Master’s, or most famously known, the Superbowl. Based Challenge is an event centered on artists coming together in a spirit of brother/sisterhood promoting friendly-competition to positively impact the surrounding community. 

With all the excitement and thrills of the NCAA March Madness Tournament, 8 DMV hip hop/rap artists will be paired at random in a single elimination tourney. The audience, by way of loudest crowd response, will determine which artist advances to the next round. Winner will receive the title trophy and prizes!

Proceeds from the event will support the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

Presented by Cool Young World in partnership with Will Rap 4 Food, FuseBox Radio, Detoxaholic and II.X Media!"
