What's good everyone,

Folks here at BlackRadioIsBack.com and the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast are back again to jump off with some new and classic mixtape posts for y'all. :)

This is our weekly section where BlackRadioIsBack.com hits up the people some more some free promotional mixtapes and mixtape podcasts for download that are pretty on point - not just from the FuseBox Radio/BlackRadioIsBack.com crew, but from all over the place.

To all of my peoples who hit me with hard copies or e-mails of mixtape and mixshow submissions, suggestions, websites and bootleg men (yes, for real, those "hit up so and so for the hot s***" info dropped on me) of various mixtape releases, I thank y'all a lot for supporting this venture.

So your blank CDs ready for these five joints (going out of town for business this weekend, so not as much this time around) and support the local mixtape bootleg man/mom and pop store, DJ, website, etc.

For my DJs, if you do good mixtapes of Hip-Hop, Soul, Rock, House, Reggae, Classics or are a music artist with your mixtape album out you don't mind having posted as promo on the web, feel free to hit the BlackRadioIsBack.com family up at blackradioisback@gmail.com with a link to your mixtape with cover and tracklisting - hopefully, we'll put your joint up on here in the future.

NOTE (as always):

PLEASE don't send me no B.S. with folks:

A. Yelling loud as hell over the song on some fake DJ Clue/DJ Kay Slay/DJ Khaled/Funkmaster Flex ish and I can't hear the damned song but 10 seconds of it (mics have volume control...thanks)

B. Mixtape "exclusives" that are on the radio - if its dope its dope, don't need the fake labeling

C. Overall wackness

* NOTE - These mixtapes are dirty versions, no radio edits! *

Check The BlackRadioIsBack.com Mixtape Of The Week Archives when you get a chance!

In the four years in between when the MC/Producer Saint dropped his last solo effort, Grown Folk Music on the Seven Heads-distributed Uncle Junior label (cool mix of Soul, Hip-Hop and House Music joints with various artists), he's been on the grind as one half of the indie Hip-Hop crew Good People (Saint and Emskee) with various singles and releases.

His new album About Time is coming out late this month (May 2008) on Pro Se/Domination Recordings.

Checking out the tracklisting of the album, this joint should be pretty good and interesting for my beads on the lookout for some interesting independent Hip-Hop & Soul...

Check out the sampler below and let folks know what you think!

What's good everyone,

Hope that the weekend as gone all right for you all!

This if the first time that we've been what I suppose is "eTagged" (shouts to my folks over at The Punkin Patch for doing so), so I shall now tell you some random and hopefully somewhat interesting things about your lady DJ Fusion by these rules:

1. Link the person who tagged you. - Did That

2. Mention the rules in your blog. - Done It

3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours. - Shall Do Below

4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them. - Will Be Done After My Wonderfully Unspectacular Quirks

5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged. - Shall Be Doing After I Type This

Here Goes:

1. The tallest person I ever dated/was in a serious relationship with was 6' 6". Considering I am 5 feet tall flat-footed on a good day when gravity isn't teasing me, it was an interesting contrast on mulitple fronts (some of which are "grown folks' business") to say the least.

2. I have a voracious need to read something within 2 hours after I wake up - doesn't matter if it's a magazine, newspaper, book, stuff on the internet, etc. Don't know why, it just is what it is and makes me feel comfortable...

3. I absolutely cannot STAND potato salad with mayonnaise by itself and pretty much just eat my Mama's to this day (can't give away the secret reciepe, but it's that heat rock in terms of deliciousness).

It's not necessarily because it tastes bad (which it does usually), but because whoever imagined that white on white was a wonderful color scheme for tasty food had mental issues. It's just not very attractive to me.

Check it:

Mom's Potato Salad - Yum and Yay

Other Folks Potato Salad/Supermarket Potato Salad In A Carton, Etc. - NO

4. I still own a functional Game Boy from back in the days and play it occasionally (the games I have are Tetris and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - I had tomboy tendencies, you see).

5. My Personal BEST 10 Hip-Hop Crews Of All Time (in no particular order what so ever):
* A Tribe Called Quest (MCs + heads who were in the production clique The Ummah - Jay Dee - R.I.P., etc.)
* Gangstarr Foundation (with Guru, DJ Premier, Lil' Dap, Jeru the Damaja, Big Shug, etc.)
* Wu-Tang Clan
* Juice Crew
* Dungeon Family (Outkast, Goodie Mob, Cool Breeze, Sleepy Brown, etc.)
* Leaders of the New School
* De La Soul
* Death Row Records Before Dr. Dre Stepped Off & All Original MCs were there (Snoop, Tupac, Lady of Rage, Kurupt, etc.)
* The Fugees
* Geto Boys

6. 2 DJ Fusion Absolutes:

1. NO Kung Fu movie is better than Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon (although The Five Deadly Venoms comes close).

Check the action from the movie - CGI Free everybody:

AND

2. NO "conscious"/"message" Hip-Hop album has yet been made is better than Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet in regards to the combo of crazy production and rhymes (step it up Hip-Hop Nation).

Public Enemy's Flavor Flav pre-VH1 Reality Shows with "911 Is A Joke" off the album:

Now, with all of that done, I am going to tag the folks at these on point blogs:

Ninja Grrl
Want! Do Not Want!
What Would Thembi Do?
Cool Cruel World
Crazy...Cool...Groovy
Permed Edges

Now, the only thing us folks at BlackRadioIsBack.com and the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast ask for our readers in the U.S. and elsewhere is to engage in making a straight up educated vote when engaged in politics, one way or the other.

We're going to be on the side of right one way or the other here and look out for our people - Black People (since folks over here are of that background - it is what it is), other folks of Color, non-folks of Color and humanity in general.

With that notation and pre-history, check out this 1992 video of ex-President Bill Clinton advisor George Stephanopoulous (now a "journalist" on ABC) and current presidential advisor for Senator Hillary Clinton (NY) Mickey Kantor calling the folks over at Indiana "white n***ers."

They are saying this about folks in the state who are next up in line for the Democratic Primaries by the way.

Maya Angelou, Bob Johnson, etc. - Is THIS the type of a**hat campaign you folks want to be behind?!

If so, SMH.

Perhaps this is why we haven't heard anything from the senator from New York about the travesty that is the Sean Bell case verdict if these characters are running things.

Check the video below...

Video First originally checked out over the posting from the fine folks at Bossip.

Update: Now folks are saying the video is doctored and part of some conspiracy...let the games and spin begin...

At the end of the day, folks from Indiana were talked about as if they weren't "s***", so it's still a mark in the loss column on that note regardless.

AND we're note even in the full-fledged U.S. Presidential Election yet - this looks like things are going to shape up to be a hot mess.

And here's the unedited clip from the documentary about the 1992 Presidential run of Bill Clinton, The War Room, that this video is from to check things out in full - sounds like at least 1 part of things are true, if not the "white n***ers" joint, so they will probably make this a big ol' non-issue on the mainstream news tonight:
