Jazz star suffers collapsed lung
Wilson is said to be in good spirits
US jazz singer Nancy Wilson is being treated for a collapsed lung, a spokeswoman for the star has said.
Her lung was being reinflated at Hi-Desert Medical Centre in California, where she was in good spirits, the musician's publicist added.
She said the cause of Wilson's collapsed lung was not known, but that the 71-year-old suffered from respiratory problems.
Last year, Wilson won the best jazz vocal album Grammy for Turned to Blue.
Wilson, who has been singing professionally for more than 50 years, won the same Grammy in 2005 for RSVP (Rare Songs, Very Personal).
In 1965, she won the Grammy for best R&B recording for her album How Glad I Am.
In January, Wilson performed in a tribute concert to late jazz legend Oscar Peterson. She was reduced to tears as she sang in the concert at the Roy Thomson Hall in Canada.
