Broccoli City Festival D.C. 2014: FuseBox Radio Broadcast x BlackRadioIsBack.com Pictures

Good Sunday Evening FuseBox Radio Broadcast & BlackRadioIsBack.com peoples!

Just wanted to share some pictures that were taken during this year's second annual Broccoli City Festival in Washington, DC at Gateway Pavilion on Earth Day, Saturday, April 19, 2014.

For those not familiar with the festival or organization, the Broccoli City Lifestyle Group's mission since 2009 has been to develop strategies & programming to educate and empower multicultural communities to live more healthier and more sustainable lifestyles through media outreach, partnerships with other organizations and more.

Throughout the day, there were a lot of great music acts from all over the U.S. representing independent & mainstream Hip-Hop, Soul, Electro, DC Go-Go and more from all over the U.S. that kept the crowd happily bouncing (literally and otherwise) along with local & national vendors selling all sorts of cool items & food, various organizations giving out information and exercise sessions along with other types of action on the Pavilion.

Overall, the Broccoli City Festival was a great inclusive (& REALLY inexpensive) enjoyable community event that was safe & fun for everyone that pulled off the rare combination of entertainment and education that wasn't on the extremes of being overly preachy or just a bunch of slick surface talk.  I hope they'll have more events like this in the D.C. Metro for years to come.

Hope that you enjoy all of the great performers, scenery and crowd on display! :)
