Here are some various pictures of performers, speakers and more at the Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day event and concert at the Washington Monument and The National Mall on Saturday, April 18, 2015 by DJ Fusion of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with a Sony A58 camera with various lenses.

This free event of entertainment and speakers (which represented global policymakers, finance ministers, environment and development NGOs, actors and industry executives) was held by the Earth Day Network and The Global Poverty Project to correspond with the 45th anniversary of Earth Day and had a mission to further various movements to end extreme poverty and solve climate change.

A huge audience (that literally filled out the majority of the National Mall) was hosted by will.i.am and Soledad O’Brien and featured musical headliners  No Doubt, Usher, Fall Out Boy, Mary J. Blige, Train, My Morning Jacket, Common and D’Banj.

This is a flashback episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk for the week of April 1, 2015 (due to it just being another VERY hectic week with DJ + press events and more for the radio show...plus with Jay-Z making moves in the streaming angle of the music business with TIDAL as of late, this seemed to be a quality show to pull out of the archives; originally broadcast on weeks of March 30 & April 6, 2011) with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our commentary during that week focused on the latest updates with the after effects of the earthquake + tsunami in Japan, the recent U.N. intervention in Libya news, the possible upcoming U.S. government shutdown due to budget issues and why it's just ridiculous how politicians are dragging this along, the re-birth of the "Birther" fake controversy with President Barack Obama and some other diverse topics here and there.

We also had a great interview with Forbes magazine staff writer Zack O'Malley Greenburg about the creative inspiration, work & drama behind his latest book, "Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went From Street Corner to Corner Office".

Here are a few pictures taken of the performers and the crowd during the "Based Challenge" music showcase & competition presented by Cool Young World at Smith Public Trust in Washington, DC on Saturday, March 14, 2015 by DJ Fusion of the FuseBox Radio Broadcast with a Sony A58 camera and various lenses.

Here is a description of the event:

"Competitions are usually viewed in a competitive or adversarial manner; Game 7 NBA Finals, The Master’s, or most famously known, the Superbowl. Based Challenge is an event centered on artists coming together in a spirit of brother/sisterhood promoting friendly-competition to positively impact the surrounding community. 

With all the excitement and thrills of the NCAA March Madness Tournament, 8 DMV hip hop/rap artists will be paired at random in a single elimination tourney. The audience, by way of loudest crowd response, will determine which artist advances to the next round. Winner will receive the title trophy and prizes!

Proceeds from the event will support the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

Presented by Cool Young World in partnership with Will Rap 4 Food, FuseBox Radio, Detoxaholic and II.X Media!"
