Bronx Hip-Hop MC Craig Mack started his career on early Hip-Hop Fresh Records as MC EZ, as part of the teenage group MC EZ & Troup in the 1980s. After releasing the 12" single "Just Rhymin'" b/w "Get Retarded", he did roadie work for Long Island classic Hip-Hop group EPMD.
From there, he met Sean "Puffy" Combs (a.k.a. P. Diddy, Sean John, whatever dude calls himself now) and was one of the first folks signed to the Bad Boy Records label.
Craig Mack's solo release on the label in 1994, Project: Funk Da World, went gold and was a success based off the singles "Flava in Your Ear" (and it's remix) and "Get Down" as well as production by Easy Mo Bee and himself.
Craig Mack later left Bad Boy Records and released the OK album, Operation: Get Down in 1997.
He has done a string of guest appearences and single releases on the independent and major label Hip-Hop scene ever since, one of the most currently known being Bad Boy Records' artist G-Dep's "Special Delivery Remix" with Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah, Black Rob and Def Squad's Keith Murray.
Craig Mack is an insanely talented and energetic MC who's misfortune was coming out (on the same label at THAT) during the same time as one of the most famous Hip-Hop MCs of all time (and pretty much the standard bearer to this day of the Bad Boy Records label) - The Notorious B.I.G. (a.k.a. Biggie a.k.a. Frank White).
